Keahi Creations and Alterations Everything is made with love in our home. We will also share our current projects even if they aren't for sale in hopes to encourage others to create as well.

Keahi Creations is a small family business based out of Big Island Hawaii that offers a variety of one of a kind gifts, everything from epoxy/glitter tumblers, jewelry, hula skirts, and more. All product will be one of a kind or limited quantities and only available when posted. We will not be offering custom orders at this time, but it is something we will consider in the future. I've been a little MIA the last couple months. Progress has been slow at Keahi Creations due to some family situations. It's hard to find the motivation to be creative when you're being pulled in many different directions. While nothing is slowing down anytime soon around here it was time to get back to things. So first up was finishing with these custom shirts. The black/white was the inspiration shirt. Over the next week I'll be focusing on finishing some alterations for people and then some new products will be in the works for an upcoming local event. Due to some uncertainty in what the next several months will look like for us I will not be accepting any custom work and very limited alterations.

Just like that our Japan trip is done. The girls did fantastic with both of their performances. We enjoyed the days with the halau and then took a few extra days to ourselves to explore the new Harry Potter Cafe in Tokyo, as well as both DisneySea and Disneyland. If I didn't already love Japan before then I surely do now. Even the girls weren't quite ready to come home. I'll be open for business again Monday the 24th so if you have a special order or need alterations I'll be available to discuss then.

Just and FYI to keep everyone in the loop. I'm currently in Kawasaki/Tokyo Japan with my daughters. We traveled here with their hula halau for them to perform here and will be staying a few additional days. I will be back in Hawaii July 16th, however will need a few days to get readjusted to the time before I begin taking ok any new orders.

Officially opened for your alteration needs! Here's a breakdown of basic services that I'll be able to provide.

Hemming or basic repairs $15 for each garmet. Please allow minimum one week for turn around. I will do my best to make sure your garmets are completed ASAP. If you need your garmets within 1-2 days guaranteed there will be an additional charge.

Alterations such as taking in a garmet will be on a case by case basis. Please contact me so we can make arrangements to meet and see what your needs are. One week minimum turn around time, but the more complicated the alterations the more time will be needed.

Pa'u are $25 plus the cost of materials. You can provide your own fabric and elastic, making your fee $25 flat.

Formal wear $30 per layer for hem and all other alterations on a case by case basis

Come join us Saturday May 6th at Ke Ola Pu'uhonua for a day full of Hawaiian cultural experiences. Gates open at 10am with hula show at 12pm. We'll be there in support of our keiki and will have items from Keahi Creations available for purchase. All of our proceeds from this event will go directly towards getting two of our hula dancers to Japan to dance with their halau in July. Ke Ola Pu'uhonua is a living cultural garden located behind Punalu'u Bake Shop in Na'alehu, Hawaii.
