Bags Sales are on the last Friday & Saturday of each month (except December). To this month's Bag Sale is Friday, May 29 & Saturday, May 30.

Now that we are back in business, our monthly BAG SALES will be returning. Our first bag sale will be Thursday & Friday, May 28 & 29. All the clothes you can fit in one of our bags for just $5 dollars. Some high end items excluded. We hope to see you then!!

Good News!

The Thrift Store will reopen for business on
Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 1pm.

We want to thank all our customers for their patience while we improved our building and cleaned our carpets.

The Methodist Thrift Store in Pagosa Springs will be closed, starting this afternoon, while work is being done in the back and upstairs to bring us into compliance with the fire code. Some of this is very messy (spray foam insulation, fire-retardant paint, etc.), so we have decided just to close down until the work is completed. We will reopen as soon as possible (probably toward the end of next week).

We appreciate your understanding and patience!

It's Spring Cleaning time at the Thrift Store. We need to clear out a lot of items before we bring down the spring/summer clothing, so . . .everything in the store will be 50% off until April 4th.

That's ALL the clothing -- ALL the books -- ALL the kitchenware -- ALL the home decor -- ALL the linens -- ALL of EVERYTHING!!! (Well, everything except our staff and volunteers -- we're not letting any of them go, much less for half price!)

So come on over and check us out -- we have stuff you never knew you needed, and it's all on sale!

And -- while we are selling everything we can out the front of the store, major construction work is going on in the back part of the store and upstairs, bringing us into compliance with fire code regulations and setting the store up for better heating and cooling. Until this work is completed, we will not be able to accept donations, since we currently have no area available for processing them. Change can be a good thing, but it sure is messy!

FREE ITEMS

As we prepare for our carpet cleaning and complete some required repairs and updates to our building, we are finding that we need to rehome some hangers (heavy duty plastic for both shirts and pants) and plastic bins (most do not have lids).

If you are interested in these FREE ITEMS, just stop by the store. There are some in the front of our main entrance and there are a lot in the back alley near
the garbage/recycling dumpster.

Please make sure to keep both areas neat and clean for the safety of everyone.

Ahh...the joys of road construction!

Beginning March 11 and running through the end of April, Lewis Street will not be open at 160. In order to get to us (and our fabulous goods), you'll need to turn on Fourth Street and then a left on Lewis, so you'll be coming from the opposite direction.

Fourth Street is open, except for the
intersection with Hwy 160.

What is the special event coming to the Community United Methodist Thrift Store at 427 Lewis Street in Pagosa Springs?

We will be holding a "50% off Everything" Sale in preparation for steam cleaning our carpet.

The sale will be held MONDAY, MARCH 23 THROUGH SATURDAY, APRIL 4TH.

PLEASE NOTE: There will not be a bag sale during March. And the 20% off on Tuesdays will also be suspended during this time period.

THE THRIFT STORE WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY, APRIL 6TH FOR CLEANING.

We hope you can join us for the sale. We know you'll find some great deals!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Want to make your sweetie happy with a kitchen makeover? We have a very nice built-in microwave by GE. 1.6 cubic foot capacity (that's big!) and upscale kitchen pots & pans, cute specialty items and gadgets plus window dressings, kitchen towels, cook books (only 50 cents each!) and kitchen mats.

And that's just the kitchen stuff!!

We also have vacuums, chairs, wedding gowns, a London Fog raincoat (!), antique books, glass stemware, cut glass items, pillows, bedding, sports equipment, shoes galore, swim suits (for those adventurous enough to venture into the hot springs while it's snowing) and, of course, tons of clothes.

We are also open for donations today from 10 am to 3pm.

Our store hours are 10am to 4:30pm (winter hours currently).
