Some projects are about craftsmanship. Others are about carrying memories forward.

This custom landing net features a crotch Claro Walnut handle and includes the ashes of Chip, a beloved chocolate Lab and faithful fishing companion. Now, every trip to the water carries a little piece of him along for the adventure.

As fellow Lab lovers, projects like this remind us that fly fishing is about far more than fish. It's about the dogs that rode shotgun, splashed through every run, and never missed a day on the water.

🎣 We're Hiring! 🎣

PJ's Fine Bamboo Rods is looking for a Part-Time Retail Associate to join our team on Mondays and Tuesdays at our new downtown Pagosa Springs location.

This is more than a retail position. Our shop is also a working bamboo fly rod workshop, and we welcome visitors from around the world who stop in to watch the craft in action. We're looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, sharing stories, and creating a memorable experience for every guest who walks through the door.

Qualifications:
✔ Fly fishing knowledge required
✔ Comfortable interacting with customers and workshop visitors
✔ Friendly, outgoing personality
✔ Reliable and self-motivated
✔ Retail or customer service experience is a plus

Responsibilities:
• Assist customers with retail purchases
• Share information about fly fishing, bamboo rods, and our classes
• Welcome guests touring the workshop
• Help clean and maintain an organized and inviting retail space

If you love fly fishing, appreciate craftsmanship, and enjoy connecting with people, we'd love to meet you.
