JUST in JADE Growing up near Big Sur with the Pacific Ocean just a stone’s throw away, Justin was inevitably drawn to its wonders and treasures. The sea.

Walking the beach and diving for jade were natural progressions as a young man. The adventure of diving to harvest the rare stones from the ocean floor, was unsurpassed. Seeking stones that the sea had caressed into their purest form, Like jewels strewn across the landscape by the intense winter storms and giant swells. Through the local surf culture, Justin was exposed to jade carving which opene

d his eyes to another facet of this already alluring stone. Justin then began to explore the inner workings of his mind and the stone. Creating tools to fit his specific needs as a stone carver, and exposing the inner beauty of each unique stone were apt challenges. Presently Justin has been studying with some of the world’s finest carvers, to further immerse himself into the california jade culture. He has been published in the local paper, for his artwork as well as facilitating a place for young people interested in carving to study the craft. Justin takes pride in producing one of a kind, hand made objects. Bringing forth a piece of California’s coastal soul and diversity, through its creator.

I felt like Joe might get lonely so I made him a friend. Here is the second in my series of hybrid dragons. I haven’t decided on a name for a proper introduction. A good friend of mine suggested Reginald on the account that it was a good name for a seahorse but I’m not sure yet . What do you think is a good name for my new friend ?
