Join us for a Juneteenth celebration at Wild Hare Books!

We'll have a variety of delicious snacks on offer from Nicole A. Taylor's fabulous new book, Watermelon and Red Birds: A Cookbook for Juneteenth and Black Celebrations, as well as alcoholic and nonalcoholic red drinks, wine and beer by the glass, and more. Think moscato pound cake, blueberry and beef hand pies, and cheddar squash biscuits with prosciutto and poblano coleslaw.

Wild Hare Books is honored to help celebrate Oxford's rich and robust African-American community, and will have a specially curated display of books for young and old, devoted to the theme of Black Joy. Profits from the evening will be donated to the Orange Street Community Center.

Quitters never win?! Hogwash.

Winner, winner crostini dinner over here at WHB. We've got a delicious prosciutto and pear toast this week, served over a schmear of goat cheese with a balsamic drizzle: CLASSIC. Pair this up with a Strawberry Smash--fresh mint, strawberries, and everyone's favorite Vinho Verde--and you'll be thinking about a L-O-N-G weekend.
