The photograph below touched my heart and reminded me of why I launched LEGACY TIMES in the first place. Last year, I created a Story Portrait for Shirley Miller, the first woman in her hometown of Syracuse, NY to enlist in the Navy WAVES (1943). Now over 100-years-old, Shirley received Veterans Day honors at the nursing home where she now lives.
