Paddington is heading to Broadway.

The news was seemingly confirmed during the opening number of the 2026 Tony Awards, when Britain's favourite bear made a surprise cameo.

During the number, former Tony Awards host Neil Patrick Harris brought out a Paddington plush toy, prompting Pink to tease: "Maybe next season." Harris quickly replied: "Spoiler alert!"

The playful exchange confirmed rumors that Paddington the Musical is set to arrive on Broadway during the upcoming season.

BREAKING 🚨 Schmigadoon! has been named Best New Musical at the 2026 Tony Awards.

The show was a big winner at the 2026 Tony Awards, taking home Best Musical along with Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations.

The stage adaptation of the hit TV series capped off a successful night by claiming Broadway's top prize.

Other major winners included Ragtime, which won Best Revival of a Musical alongside acting awards for Joshua Henry and Caissie Levy.

The Lost Boys also enjoyed a strong night, winning four awards including Featured Actor in a Musical for Ali Louis Bourzgui and Featured Actress in a Musical for Shoshana Bean.

Meanwhile, Cats: The Jellicle Ball picked up three awards, including Best Direction of a Musical and Best Choreography.
