- Madi edition!
Madi is one of our new high school girls here at Costas! She will be a senior doing PSEO and homeschool. She’s the oldest of 4, loves volleyball, basketball, art and time with family and friends. She’s also a part of 4H so maybe you can find her art work in the 4H building this week at the Steele County Free Fair! Madi has such a beautiful smile and personality, and we’re so glad she joined our team. She’s still in the taste testing stage of our candies - but so far a favorite is the cheesecake truffle.!

It almost feels like Christmas with extra hands and more employees at work lately! We have lots of new faces that we’ll be introducing you to during our Sunday staff picks. We’re enjoying the laughter and more chatter, and one day we even had 3 dippers going at once!

: This is a hard one to write - Amy’s staff pick and goodbye 😢

Amy has been a part of our Costas team since we reopened after the remodel in 2021 - nearly 5 years ago. This week we share her staff pick of toffee and also say a sad farewell. Amy’s husband retired recently, and they are moving to their cabin near Grand Rapids. Julie and Amy met back in 2007 at MOPS in Owatonna, and then their kids all went to school together. In 2021, when we needed new staff for the remodel, Amy decided she was ready to work more hours after being a stay-at-home mom and having done part-time work in the school kitchen for many years. If we all seem a little emotional this week, we are! We will miss Amy’s smile, organization, stories, and hard work. We are so happy for her, but change is hard, and since Amy’s been a part of Costas Candies since the start of the candy-only era, this is going to be hard! Wishing you all the best, Amy!
