Hey friends! We're open again under Mouses Chocolates & Coffee!
We had a good bit of fun (and a perfectly reasonable amount of chaos) getting things transitioned over and started back up. Now, we're absolutely delighted to welcome you to the new Ouray bookstore. We're sporting a new space, a slightly different name, a new shop dog, a new owner (Hi! I'm Pat!), and a good selection of interesting new curios...but mostly you can expect familiar faces and the same world-class curation of books.
We're getting new inventory and slightly rearranging the shop quite literally every day. As such, it's not exactly a "soft open," but for a short time you might see the odd misplaced display or hear that a particular book you want is still at a distribution center in, say, Tallahassee. Our big shop signs are also some weeks away from being delivered and installed. Even our new website (ouraybooks.com) won't launch until early next week, for dreadfully boring reasons.
But listen: It's gonna be a dreary, cold weekend here in our perfect little corner of the Rocky Mountains, and the new bookshop is cozier than you can imagine. You need a new leather-bound journal, maybe a feel-good novel, and definitely a Mother's Day card.
