We sell top quality Janome, Elna & Necchi sewing machines. We sell Riccar vacuums from St James, Missouri. Riccar - “The First Name in Vacuums that Last.” We sell Sebo vacuums made in Germany. We service the sewing machines and vacuums we sell. We service others as well. We maintain vacuum bags and belts for many major vacuum brands.
We stock approximately 6000 bolts of quilting fabric. Our fabric is always changing. Buy what you need to finish your project. If you need more later, it could very well be gone. Check out our large Fabric Closeout Department.
We maintain the largest thread display in southeast Iowa. When you need thread, come to The Sewing House.
We want to be your source for machine embroidery supplies. We maintain the most complete supply of embroidery stabilizers in southeast Iowa.

Join Main Street Ottumwa on Saturday, August 29, for the Shop Small. Love Local. Downtown Ottumwa event.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by Central Park for a bag and passport with details of participating businesses, hand sanitizer and a mask. Bags are a suggested donation of $5 or 2 bags for $9.
A purchase from a participating business gets you a stamp in your passport. Get at least three stamps, sign the passport and turn it in. Prizes will include gift cards from participating businesses, and the winners will be drawn and announced during a Facebook Live event on Wednesday, September 2.

In the lead up to the Easter Weekend, we bring to you the Wapello County Small Businesses Virtual Easter Egg Hunt!
How it works!: Over the next few days local participating businesses are going to be posting pictures of Easter eggs on their pages, websites, instagram pages and possibly in store windows! This is where the hunt begins!
It is up to you, the Easter egg hunt participant, to find and take screenshots of 10 of those eggs. Once you have 10 screenshots of different eggs, you can email them to
[email protected] to enter! Successful participants will be entered for a chance to win a gift basket filled with items and gift cards supplied by local businesses.
Anyone can participate in the Easter Egg Hunt, which will officially begin on April 10th and end on April 12th!
