🌟 Why These Workshops Exist (the story behind the work)
When I was working on my doctorate in adult education in the 1980s, my research focused on developmental learning and transformation. At the same time, I was teaching adults how to become physical therapists as an associate professor.

What I didn’t expect was that my research would change my own life.

In studying how adults learn and change, I began encountering ideas I had never been taught before — how the mind works, how the subconscious shapes experience, what energy actually is, and how self‑understanding evolves.

It felt like discovering a door that had always been there but that no one had shown me how to open.

That discovery changed everything.

I eventually left my tenured position and opened a small storefront that became a gathering place for teachers exploring consciousness, meditation, energy work, and personal transformation.

Over time, the workshops you see here grew out of that work — each one exploring a different doorway into understanding how we shift internally and how those shifts change the way we live.

You can explore the material in several ways:
• reading the articles online
• working with the downloadable PDF guides
• joining a live workshop experience

🌱 Workshop Descriptions
Five Elements
An experiential exploration of Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth as living patterns within the body and emotions. You learn to recognize how energy expresses itself and how balance returns when those patterns are understood.

Seven Chakras
A guided journey through the inner architecture of perception. As awareness refines, you begin to notice how energy moves vertically through your experience and how clarity expands from within.

Meditation
A practical, grounded approach to turning attention inward. Meditation here is not escape, but authorship — learning to participate consciously in your own state of being.

Stress to Well‑Being
A steady look at how the nervous system shapes perception. When regulation returns, interpretation softens, and the current becomes easier to follow.

The Way of Flow
A full‑day immersion in the living model of Awareness, Acceptance, Choice, Action, and Trust. This workshop traces the arc from recognition to embodied participation, offering a structured pathway into self‑responsibility and coherence.

Explore experiential workshops on Flow, energy, stress relief, meditation, and inner awareness. Small, supportive Zoom groups with guided practices, handouts, and meaningful personal insight.

📍 A Note About Mountain Valley Center

Mountain Valley Center continues — online and at the Otto Labyrinth Park. The store is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from noon to 4ish p.m. The Labyrinth Park is open daily from dawn to dusk.

At this time, I am not moving forward with additional construction or expansion of the pavilion or park. The land, the store, and the labyrinth were joint creations between Charlie and me. They carry years of shared vision and work.

For now, the property is being cared for and maintained. I am tending what is already established while allowing space for the next right stewards to emerge. I trust that the land will move into the hands meant for it.

🌿 Where My Primary Work Is Flowing Now
In this season, my primary energy is devoted online to Feel the Flow.info — teaching, sessions, workshops, and written resources focused on self-healing, inner peace, and personal growth.
Mountain Valley Center and Otto Labyrinth Park remain open and welcoming.

Feel the Flow is where I am most actively writing, teaching, and developing new offerings.

Way of Flow Update

The next Way of Flow live intensive will be held on Sunday, February 8th.
This experiential workshop has been revised to reflect the full scope of the Way of Flow — a holistic process of personal transformation that supports movement from automatic reactions into conscious response, awareness, and trust.

While earlier videos focus on specific aspects of the work, the live intensive brings the full model together through guided experience, reflection, and shared presence. Participants receive the complete Way of Flow PDF and supportive handouts to continue the process beyond the workshop itself.

If you feel drawn to this work, you’re warmly invited to learn more and join us for the February 8th intensive..

The Way of Flow workshop offers a grounded framework for navigating change through awareness, acceptance, and inner authority. Live, scheduled small-group Zoom sessions support clarity, balance, and practical action.

Sometimes All We Need to Do Is Do Nothing

Today was one of those days that looks unproductive from the outside and quietly transformative from the inside.

I spent hours trying to make something work that should have worked — a banner image, a hero image, a welcoming visual that would sit at the top of the Mountain Valley Center website and say, “Here we are.” I adjusted sizes. I cropped. I rebuilt. I learned more about Square’s quirks than I ever intended to know.

And the more I tried to make it fit, the more resistance I felt.

Images went fuzzy. Edges clipped. Colors darkened. What looked beautiful in one context fell apart in another. Every “fix” introduced a new problem. It wasn’t that the image was wrong. It wasn’t that the idea was wrong. It was that I was trying to force something into a place where it didn’t belong.

Eventually, something simple happened.

I stopped.

I took the banner away.

No hero image. No visual spectacle at the top. Just words, resting quietly on the deep green background:

Welcome to Mountain Valley Center and the Otto Labyrinth Park — with you since 1998.

And then, immediately below, the featured collections appeared — clear, sharp, inviting, grounded. No struggle. No distortion. No fight.

The site exhaled.

What I realized — and what feels important enough to remember — is that sometimes the most aligned action isn’t doing more. It’s doing less. Or even doing nothing at all.

I didn’t solve the banner problem by fixing it.
I solved it by letting it go.

There’s a lesson here that extends far beyond websites.

When something resists us over and over again, it’s worth asking whether the resistance is a signal, not an obstacle. Whether the system — the body, the platform, the moment — is quietly saying, “That’s not how this wants to work.”

Today reminded me that alignment often comes not from effort, but from listening. From noticing when clarity arrives the moment we stop pushing. From trusting that what remains after we remove what doesn’t belong is often exactly what’s needed.

Sometimes all we need to do…
is do nothing.

And then let what’s true reveal itself.

Festival of Lights
A gentle honoring of the celebrations that bring light into the world each December—Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, Solstice traditions, and countless cultural festivals that kindle hope through the dark.

December has always been a month of remembering. Remembering that even in the longest nights, something inside us glows. Every culture expresses this truth in its own way: candles in windows, lanterns in courtyards, strings of lights on trees, fires tended through the Solstice night, and the quiet radiance of families gathering in warmth and meaning. This video is simply a moment of reflection on that shared human impulse to create light, to celebrate goodness, and to hold hope steady for one another.

As you watch, let the images and music offer a pause… a breath… and a reminder that your own inner light matters in ways you can’t always see. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, Solstice, or simply the turning of the season, may this piece bring a touch of brightness to your day.

If you’d like more reflections, practices, and ways to reconnect with your own flow of energy and presence, you’re welcome to visit me here:
