You won't want to miss this exceptional organ concert on Sunday afternoon, May 10th, 3:30pm-5:00pm with Ken Cowan on the St. Cecilia Pipe Organ in the Church of the Transfiguration. This symphonic instrument is comprised of components from over 70 different E. M. Skinner organs enveloping 11,964 pipes restored by Nelson Barden Assoc. of Boston, that are placed in a unique surround-sound design.

This evocative program features favorite masterworks by Edward Elgar, Gerald Finzi, and Ralph Vaughan Williams, including Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis and Fantasia on 'Greensleeves', and Elgar's Elegy, Op. 58. This past weekend, McLean, who was at the August Weekend Invitational retreat at the Community, found the perfect gift for her new grand-daughter, This beautiful quilt was created by Sr. Angela who pours love and prayers into all the quilted creations. There are quilts for all ages plus handbags in different sizes, quilted potholders and bookmarks, original glass pieces from clocks to dishes to jewelry pieces, Essentia bath products, and a large selection of Bibles and books for all ages. We're celebrating Independence Day tomorrow, July 2nd - Let Freedom Ring! Over 300 will be seated at tables on the Common area to enjoy wonderful food and Patriotic music with Gloriae Dei Cantores and orchestra. The guests have front-row seating at the harbor area to watch the fireworks after the festive dinner time.
