Here's our GoFundMe update:
We are 3 weeks from the day this all started. Alan has been through so much. Three weeks ago it was discovered that the stents that were installed during the day of his heart attack were failing, and that quadruple bypass was his best chance of surviving.
He has since had the procedure. He's still in a lot of pain, but is doing much better than the past 9 months.
Our goal was to have the shop closed by the end of July, but with Alan's quadruple bypass, our closing is delayed, but impending. As soon as he is able, we will begin the process of making the closure permanent. This weekend will be the last weekend of our rummage sale, so if you need props, Halloween decor, cheap fabric remnants, or lighting and AV equipment, we probably have it. We'll announce what will happen next shortly after this weekend.
Thank you all for the support you have given us, in its different ways. It has done a lot for us, moral and otherwise. For that, we will always be grateful.
Due to rising costs of everything, we just raised the goal slightly. Despite the sales in the shop, and working as much as I can at my day job, it feels like its never enough to make up for circumstances that are out of our control, like fuel prices and the cost of consumer goods and services. It's been exercises of mental gymnastics and mathematics trying to make it work. Any assistance in anyway helps, just to take a bite out of rising costs.
Anyway, thank you for your positive thoughts and healing energy you have sent our way.
