I'm putting together my profile on BandMix.com right now - and posted three tracks that I used as backing tracks for my Minstrel on the Patio performance at RosFest in 2022. Then I dared play them just to confirm they uploaded correctly.

To my unexpected surprise, since I was both originally so obsessed with the mixing/mastering details that I didn't focus on the performances themselves, I am so blown away by what Jimmy Keegan, Brian Timpe, Marc Miller and Todd Sucherman played for Colossus and Foucault's Pendulum 1st Movement - they were backing tracks that intentionally had guitars removed, and the rhythm sections for both tunes are just fkng spot on tight and tasteful!! And the track recording quality was excellent - studio quality recordings that I just dropped into the projects and adjusted my own performances to match.

For those not in the know - the Foucault's Pendulum album is available on Bandcamp (my site through Melodic Revolution Records is below), Colossus is from the forthcoming Perchance to Dream album that I'm trying to recover from the 4th dimension right now.

There's some really great material on this site, I would even buy it if it weren't me who wrote, recorded and produced it.

I had a bit of a website disaster happen sometime in the past - not sure when, because I'm really awful when it comes to doing updates and checking on things that dont involve trolling other trolls.

A couple plugins misbehaved and caused everything to go to hell. I found a way to fix this and...

The site is now up, and I've made some updates to my bio and other stuff. Needless to say it will probably be another 2 years before I get in there again and post any updates... :(

For those following the videos of the progress of building the guitar, and you're interested in participating in the guitar lottery - the page is being built at https://svilpacustomguitars.com and I and others will make a big deal announcement when it is live.

The lottery will austensibly end once we get 200 people signed up and in possession of their purchased lottery numbers. If we dont get 200 participants, but have 75 or more - the lottery drawing will still take place on April 6 with the guitar being shipped out by April 15 to the winner of the lottery.

(If we dont achieve the minimum 75 virtual tickets, the lottery will be extended 1 additional week. If after April 13 we still haven't achieved 75 tickets, money will be refunded to all who purchased)

This is a hand made from quality swamp ash and flame maple properly seasoned wood, purchased through StewMac, and videos of the build are available by going back on the posts in my profile. The videos will also be featured on the auction page as well as high quality hidef photos of the instrument that will be updated as the build is being completed.

Premium hardware and electronics from Schaller, Hipshot, GraphTech and boutique Dragonfire passive pickups made in Oregon are being used in this instrument.

Imagine obtaining a $3000-$4000 instrument for $100 - odds are between 1 in 75 and 1 in 200 depending on the number of virtual tickets sold.

For folks in Central Florida, or those who are interested and would ship their instrument - I am doing repairs and set ups, including fret recrowning/leveling, headstock repairs, neck resets, and more.

Rates are reasonable - $100 for setups including strings, nut recutting and installation $100 for bone and $125 for GraphTech TUSQ nuts.

Other repairs will be estimated depending on pictures sent with $$ ranges given before you send or hand over the instrument.

after shaping the taper of the neck with router and then rasp, and then making sure the truss rod fit snugly in the channel, it then got to the time to glue down the rosewood fretboard to the fancy flame maple mandolin neck.

I have been posting videos on my personal channel, but in the event people subscribe then I'll start doing simple instructional videos showing how I build my instruments both from components/parts and from scratch.
