Introducing the all-new Rivet Counter HO Scale Wabtec CM44AC Diesel Locomotive!

Rebuilt from CSX’s legendary AC4400CW fleet, these modernized workhorses feature extensive internal and external upgrades - and now you can add them to your modern-era HO Scale CSX roster.

The CM44AC program began in 2019 when the first rebuilt unit emerged from Wabtec as CSX No. 7200. Through 2025, CSX partnered with GE/Wabtec to modernize these units with upgraded control systems, wiring, and a high-pressure common-rail fuel system - boosting efficiency by up to 18% while improving reliability.

Externally, the changes are unmistakable:
• ET44-style wide cab with relocated nose door
• New four-window cab layout
• Number boards above the windshield
• Revised long-hood cabinets
• Raised radiator shutters for improved cooling

All units wear CSX’s YN3 scheme, evolving from the boxcar logo to today’s “.com” branding.

Each Rivet Counter CM44AC delivers smooth, powerful performance with unparalleled railroad, road number, and era-specific details, plus industry-leading LED lighting. Every visible prototype change is faithfully captured - including the new raised radiator grilles and shutter system.
