We’re a small family business, which means we do things a little differently.

When you buy from Cumulus, you’re not dealing with a giant corporation or a customer service department reading from a script. You’re dealing with people who genuinely care about the athletes wearing our gear.

That’s why every product is backed by a 1-Year Warranty.

Do we occasionally get messages about a loose outer stitch? Sure. Because of the high-strength serger construction we use, those small imperfections are usually cosmetic and don’t affect performance. BUT, we’d rather take the time to review every claim than leave an athlete wondering if they’re stuck with a product they aren’t happy with.

If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right.

If you’re putting pressure on yourself (or if you’re a parent or coach putting pressure on your athlete to perform) you might be going about it all wrong.

I used to chase accolades too, until I realized that if I:

1. Prioritized connection with my athletes—actually caring about them and getting to know them, and
2. Focused on character,

everything else followed.

Character > talent. Overtime, character will outlast, everytime.

The grit that is cultivated through years of showing up is something that our kids can draw on as adults. The consistency and failure that it takes to eventually succeed in wrestling will become a grid for when they’re older. This grid will allow them to draw on deep wells of strength when they encounter hardships outside of wrestling. Consistency is key. Keep going. Reign on.

Running is the thing I do to decompress and stay healthy. If you love running, you know what I mean. First off, if you’re new here, I’m Alex Nicholes— a high school wrestling coach, former State champ, and co founder of Cumulus Sport (co founder with my wife Annie).

Now, I never let my athletes follow any social media accounts, pages, etc that talk about rankings or their competition.

Rankings and articles are really fun for fans, not for competitors.

I am always stressing to my kids that they are competitors, not fans.

Any time they spend thinking about anyone else is time and energy they aren’t pouring into themselves.

First off, if you’re new , I’m Alex Nicholes. A high school wrestling coach, former state champ, and co founder of Cumulus Sport (along with my wife Annie).

Now, I fully believe wrestlers should be spending massive amounts of time sparring.

Along with sparring like crazy you need to be spending time in specific situations. In wrestling there are a few key positions that happen in every single match. You need to be intentional coming into the room and have a plan to spend time every day in those key positions.

⚡️Short offense (working both offensively and defensively)

⚡️Stuck underneath on a failed shot (working both offensively and defensively)

⚡️High C - Starting in a High C can lead to a ton of other positions for both the offensive and defensive partner. Double leg, head inside single, short offense, crack down, can all come from starting in a high C.
