As I feel blessed to be able to spend holidays with family and friends, I think often of those that are in far away places serving their country, of the families that have an empty place setting. Of loved ones that sat and listened to taps play and heard "on behalf of a grateful nation," of the soldier who came home but the battlefield came home with them. Please take just a few moments over these holidays to think of them, thank a veteran and count your blessings. Merry Christmas to everyone.
