Boot Barn 1978-2007

Boot Barn 1978-2007 Founded in 1978 in Huntington Beach, CA. Boot Barn grew from one small store in Orange County into the largest in the country.

This page honors the beginnings of Boot Barn, its founders, management team, and all of the dedicated employees that contributed to the success of what was a small dream. Thanks to each and every loyal customer for their dedication to the western lifestyle we all loved so much. When Boot Barn sold to a financial investor in 2007 management style and philosophy changed. This site celebrates that or

iginal enthusiasm by employees and customers, the camaraderie we all shared, and the memories we will have for a lifetime.

This is the homesite for the period in Boot Barn's history when it was founded by Ken Meany and eventually managed by Patrick Meany until they sold a majority interest to a private equity firm. These were the good old days. Hard work , no bu****it investors , and we treated everyone fair and we all worked together. These were the most enjoyable years of my career. Using common sense , not board meetings to make good decisions. Low overhead , high profits , and no stress. Great employees - to all of you I say thanks
Patrick
