I sometimes get asked how I “do it all” as a wife and mama who homeschools and owns her own business, and the short answer always is, “I don’t.” My husband and I are constantly looking to the Lord for wisdom and discernment on where He’s calling us to invest our time and resources, and the Lord has been so very faithful to always make His callings clear to us. Life has been very full lately, and days don’t always go the way I’d like them to go, but I can’t help but be overwhelmed by God’s kindness in giving us beautiful children, food for our bellies, a safe home, and business opportunities that enable us to build into the community we love. What more could we ask for? Here are some snapshots from my life as a work-from-home, homeschooling mama lately. Maybe some of these images might resonate with you?
1. What a highlight to get my OTO Tea Towels in the newly opened shop in the Plaza - The Squeeze!
2. Where would I be without my family - some of my biggest supporters and encouragements? My love for documenting with photos definitely comes from my dad. ☺️
3. Totally nothing breathtaking, but it did make me happy to make a batch of hard-boiled eggs with creamy yolks that didn’t have green on them this week. It’s the little things. 😌😍
4. Taking inventory of products in preparation for the upcoming Flower Show! What a privilege to be able to participate as a vendor again!!
5. A sweet babysitter made chocolate chip cookies with our kids, and our toddler was so excited about them that he insisted on carrying the bag to the point of smothering every cookie inside. Something about that overwhelming excitement just filled me with life and gratefulness. The cookie pieces were still just as tasty too. 😉
6. I went to get my kids up for the day and found the older two happily drawing in front of the morning light. These scenes from motherhood are the best.
7. I tried to make apple oat bread in our bread machine and it didn’t quite turn out right. I’m not entirely sure what went wrong, but it was still quite tasty toasted with salty butter on it.
8. What a blessing to continue to see selling my cards in her shop! 🥰
