Pat Travers opening up for Rush on the Hemispheres tour, think I paid $9.75 plus .75 ticket fee, seats on the floor maybe 25 rows back. The first time I saw the band that has brought me so many great memories .

Saw them the 22nd time July 30 2015 at Irvine Meadows with my son Jackson by my side.

In honor of their return to the stage, all records and boxed sets will be 15% off, and I’ve got quite a bit..

The word “bribe” has gotten a bad rap over the years. Is it a bribe when a C student brings an apple and a smile to his math teacher on test day?? I think not!

I prefer the term “incentivize” which is simply to take an idea in the recesses of your mind (aka I haven’t seen Bill at the record store in a while..) and bring it forward when offered a token reward to make the gathering still more exciting to look forward to ..

I’ve already been contacted by many of you who plan to come by the shop today to celebrate my 9th anniversary and I’m very excited to see familiar faces !

Why not make the event more memorable with a batch of Deb’s legendary “cowboy cookies” with oatmeal and both peanut butter and chocolate chips baked to chewy perfection!!???

The $1 sidewalk Sale became a Santa Ana mainstay, including this one from Oct 3 2021.

With a week of overlap, I opened up 10/21 in Orange and then cleaned out Santa Ana the following week. Things took off quickly as Orange was a wonderful space.

The Flash Wranglers played Dec 9 2021, cool surf rockers I’d met again from hearing them rehearse at Lockout Studios above the Santa Ana location.

Miles will cover Saturday, and I will be your Sunday host. Lovely wife and I are making cookies for Sunday even as we speak!

Friend of the shop Brandon will bring 6 crates Sunday for a fun pop up sale cash or Venmo preferred!

In early 2019 I found myself (along with Miles and a large u-haul truck!) looking at a 10000 record collection in Huntington Beach. The “SF” collection was just amazing as he had passed away in mid December. His mother came up from Vegas and we hashed out a deal, as she saw a receipt with the store name on it and we had a pleasant conversation and knew we could reach an agreement.

Only other time have I dealt with a collection of this magnitude, and this one from 2019 pushed the store into another level.

The other thing it did was bring together my local experts who were now a part of the Left of the Dial community, as this would have been an overwhelming task without the four or five experts who came in and helped sort the gems and speed the process along!

The expertise and knowledge and “love of the record game” has never ceased to amaze me. It’s a hobby that folks embrace to levels I even now can’t comprehend!

Thanks to those of you who’ve come along for the whole ride!!

The first of 4 batches of 9 of my records have been put out to the New arrivals bin marked by Bill’s Stash bin card. Thurs 5/28, Sat 5/30 and Sun 5/31 will have 9 more dropped on each day

Festivities are under way in support of celebrating 9 years as owner of Left of the Dial Records!

June 1 is actual date, as I took over on that day in 2017, but we shall celebrate Sat 5/30 from 11-7 with Miles and Sun 5/31 from 11-6 with Bill

I will be putting out 9 records from my personal collection on each of these days.

Tues 5/26, Thurs 5/28, Sat 5/30 and Sun 5/31

There will be a New Arrivals section clearly marked as Bill’s Record Stash.
