Life is too short 😢 Years ago we were all like family. Everyone looked out for each other. We ate together and drank together, worried about each other. We need to get back to this again. We need to look after each other instead of tearing each other down. I'm going to bet, that out of my "family" and "friends" most will just scroll bye.

Reminder for anyone, this weekend.

We will be having a celebration of life this Sunday, the 21st. It will be at her church, Courtableau Baptist. The address is 20035 Hwy 190, in Port Barre. It will be at 1:30 pm after services, but anyone is welcome to go to service before hand. Sunday school starts at 9:30am and service is at 10:30am. Gumbo will be available, while it last, to those that would like.

The reason why we chose this day in particular is because, it is her birthday and more importantly it fell on a Sunday. Her favorite day of the week. Anyone is welcome to attend, it’s a get together in remembrance of her, and to just celebrate the person she was.

Thank you ahead of time to anyone that attends.

The pastor says they sit front and center. The gay boys. Sometimes they hold hands. And some folks have said he should address the issue. But the pastor tells me he doesn’t know what to say. And then there’s the man who sneaks in the back door. Fresh off the street. After the service starts. And leaves before alter call. The people sitting close complain about how bad he smells. Of beer and smoke and sweat. But the pastor tells me he doesn’t know what to say. And then there’s the young mama who wears dirty skin and lets her four children come in and eat all the donuts and drink all the watered-down juice. Some church staff say they “…eat like little pigs. Like they haven’t eaten in weeks.” While the mama just stands there and lets them. And the elders say something must be done and said. But the pastor tells me he doesn’t know what to say. And there’s the w***e sitting among the faithful. And everybody knows her. She sits with a painted-up face, cheap perfume, and a broken heart. And those who sit close, well, they all treat her for what they think she is. And at the last staff meeting, her name came up. Something must be done about her. But the pastor tells me he doesn’t know what to say.
The pastor is a good man. Holy and just. And he wants to do the “right and loving” thing. And he wants to “look like Jesus”. And he asks me if I have any thoughts on anything he could say.
Yes, Pastor. I do.
Start with this and say it Louder than any other words:
“Welcome to Church. This is a place of love and hope and safety and forgiveness. We will have food for the hungry. Living water for the thirsty. We are so glad you are here. You are invited. You are loved. Come on in—we’ve been waiting on you. Welcome here. We are the church.”
Say that. To the called and to the called-out. To the leaders and the greeters. To the dirty and the clean. We are all the same. We are.
May we blow the dust of religion out of our souls and choose affection instead. May our words and actions and reactions be a sanctuary for all.
Jesus broke many laws to love. So, Jesus, be our voice. Be the only words we should ever speak.I believe this with all my heart. Years ago we were kinder. Everybody looked out for one another. We need to go back to that. It takes us all. We gotta do better at looking out for each other instead of breaking each other down. I'm going to ask that people think about how you feel when you are that person for what ever reason.

Matthew 28:16-20 (AMP)
The Great Commission

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17 And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted [that it was really He]. 18 Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.

It is scary when a random thought is given to you in your head, and you scratch for information and the results are not good. Did you know that Western Churches only spend +/- 1% of their money on unreached people groups? 90% of the missionaries you try to spread the word are not from those groups. That number needs to change or we as Christians are not fulfilling our duty to God. Christians are the largest religious Group at +/- 31%, but other statistics show within our own ranks most do not 100% believe what the Bible says. Now as I said this is just scratching the surface of the mater. Some +/-10% say they are Christian but do not even believe in God. And those that believe in God some do not believe in angels +/-7%; +/-5% who believe in God do not believe in Heaven; +/-13% do not believe in Hell; +/-24% do not believe in the devil. For me to Believe in God and HIS WORD one must Believe in the rest, for they are written. So are we even reaching our own Nation/ Group of Christian’s? To get back to the Great Commission in 100AD there were 12 unreached groups for every congregation. Today there is on unreached group for every 1000 congregations. We have improved the numbers, but there is still +/-4000 groups that have not been reached. Why we are to preoccupied with our own Church or local missions to grow “OUR” numbers and turn a blind eye on the unreached. There are enough resources but it seems Church arogance and how we look to our neighbor hoods is more important than Jesus’s commandment. Praise God and Thank HIM for HIS mercy and grace for we are failing. +/-70% of evangelical Christians have not even been told of the +/-1.6 billion unevangelized people in the world.
We need to teach the whole “TRUTH” so we can develop Disciples that are prepared to evangelize the whole WORD of God!! We need to Preach, Teach, expository so that our own congregations understand God’s WORD, not just ear tickling verses that are not explained. The Bible is alive and from Genesis to Revelations it is intertwined must not be divided. By this we can improve In Sanctification and reach the unreached. Take a self inventory and then ask your congrigation to do the same, ask just how much are we using of Church Funds for the unreached and compare to how much on cosmetics. I myself have to stand up and do as our Savior has commanded. Do not get stonewalled or silenced.

Lord God Thank You for opening my eyes to the truth. Lead me as YOUR servant to improve the way we look at the needs the Church/ Churches should be focusing on. That thought YOU gave me stirred a great deal of concern that I have been looking at things wrong. May this information stir the Churches to take invetory of
Themselves and teach their congregations to do the same. To know God The FATHER, God The SON, and God The Holy Spirit, and that what has been written in The Holy Scriptures and The Gospels must be used in whole not just what we want. So everyone knows there is a Heaven and a Hell. That all must know the “WAY” to Heaven is through Jesus Christ, not the things we do. I Pray Salvation for all Lord God so they know Jesus was tourtured, crucified, died for our sins, rose from the grave defeating sin, death, Satan, and lived today preparing a place for those the YOU The Lord Father has given HIM. Trust in HIM and obedience to HIM is a must. In Jesus Christ Mighty Name, Name above all names Amen, Amen.

Trusting without knowing or understanding

18 For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!

We for the most part go our day wanting to know why something does not go the way we want it too. One reason may be we are not aligned with God’s will; The time does not align with God’s timing. God knows we are not ready yet. We experience loss of someone and worry more about ourselves more than if they are saved or if we did enough to show them the WAY (Jesus Christ). Or that they who are the Chosen and accept Him are in no more pain or suffering. What a Blessing to know a person is ready to meet the Lord. When you see a person dying and they are smiling and pointing up, you may go into denial and try to just hold on. Tell them not yet. My Bride went home less than a month ago and she had a smile when she was awake pointing up and until the medicine kept her asleep she was trying to tell me let go. The nurses said they had not seen anyone smile in her condition. Not until she had left did I understand what she was trying to tell me. “I am ready let me go.” The last words I said while she could still nod her head was I love You and asked forgiveness for trying to hold on and not understanding. I trust the Lord God and see the Glory it is doing for HIM. I do not understand it all nor know what God has planned for each renewing day HE gives me. I give HIM Thanks and Phrase. When I start wanting to ask why, or start to just want to quit and fall into chaos, I remember that smile and the pointing up, and realize God is Great and has a plan, in which HE is not done with me Yet. I Trust in HIM and know He Has all knowledge and wisdom so when I do not know or understand when the timing is right God will let me know. So with all your Heart, mind spirit and strength Trust in HIM. Blind Faith is not Blind God just has not gave us the understanding or knowing of HIS Plan. So each day I awake renewed I Give Thanks for another day and for what ever God is going to put in my path. I hope that when it is my time I smile and point to YOU, Lord.

Father God of all creation Thank YOU. Through life YOU have shown me YOU are in control. I am here to serve YOU and that is the desire of my heart. I hope the remnants come together and bring many more into the sheep’s fold and make a beautiful robe for the SHEPHERD ate the Gate. To become part of HIS Body. Again Thank YOU for everything. In Jesus Christ mighty name Amen Amen
