It’s 1925, an Englishman arrives in Baltimore searching for a fabulously valuable painting. He learns it’s hidden somewhere in the Phillips estate furniture up for auction the next week. Before he can find the treasure, he’s stabbed with a strange four bladed knife and dies in a downtown restaurant. Others have been enlisted in the endeavor, now they too are keen to find and profit from the painting’s recovery. Detective Mat Finnley is assigned the case. He quickly learns there are a multitude of suspects. At the auction house where she works, MJ Bartlett becomes involved in the case as there is an antique desk with a secret compartment going up for auction in five days. Time is precious as Finnley fears MJ Bartlett’s snooping may have placed her on top of the killer’s list. “A Serving of Murder” is a Prohibition era murder mystery where greed, illicit passions and secret perversions swirl. For those of you who have not checked out "A Serving of Murder", it's a historic tale that takes place in 1925 during Prohibition. I hope you enjoy this novel as much as I did in writing this story that, by the way, takes place in Baltimore.

“A Serving of Murder” is a tale of a diabolical killer who uses an unusual four bladed knife to dispatch is victims. Intertwined with the murders is the scramble to find a valuable painting hidden in somewhere in the estate furniture being held for auction at Wright’s Properties in Baltimore during Prohibition in 1925. Detective Mat Finnley gets the case, but he’s thwarted in his investigation by Detective Shine who says it’s his case. MJ Bartlett, who works for Wright’s Properties, was at the scene of the first killing and may know about the whereabouts of the missing painting. “Sunny Jim” Salucci is shepherding a clandestine shipment of booze from Canada. And hopes he can elude the Revenue Agents who are snooping around. Finnley believes time is running out before the killer strikes again and he believes his next victim may be MJ Bartlett. “A Serving of Murder” is online now in paperback, eBook and on Audible. Today, I’m sending my sincere “thank you” to all of the many readers who have read and enjoyed “Tamsen’s Quest” and took their time to write a review. Publishing, as I did online, is a solitary existence with little human feedback. I do get some notes from time to time and for those, I am grateful.
