Two mezcals. Same batch, rested 25 months. One aged above ground, one buried in the earth. You get to taste what the dirt did.
Agave Tasting, Wednesday August 26th, 7 PM at Duck Duck Bottle Shop
Six rare pours, mezcal from Oaxaca and raicilla from the mountains of Jalisco, all from small family palenques. The centerpiece is two 5 Sentidos tobala mezcals from the same distillation.
Also pouring Del Maguey Chichicapa or a lovely Tahona Cascahuin, a wild tepextate from Reyna Sanchez, and two raicillas from The Wolf of the Mountains Gerard P***s, closing with La Venenosa puntas at 63.2%.
We’ll cover how to taste agave and how it’s made. Come knowing agave or come curious.
