Happy September, Bliss Friends Club!

This month, we’re celebrating someone extra special, our beloved Syan! Born under the Virgo sign, Syan is an ultimate baking sensation who loves whipping up dreamy treats and spreading a little bit of magic wherever he goes.

Syan’s story is all about embracing who you are, loving every part of your journey, and reminding us to “Be Dreamy” in everything we do.

✨ Big Announcement! ✨

If you’ve been here from the beginning, you’ll remember that this community started off as Tinsy Thoughts. In 2022, we were branded to Q***rarchy. And now, Bliss Friends Club has arrived, and we couldn’t be more excited to share our journey with you!

Tinsy Thoughts came about as a space where I could create a world of joy and imagination with characters who lived in a diverse, inclusive space where self-love and positivity could be a reality for everyone. It was based on the idea that the small thoughts based in love and positivity could create a better world and create ripples of goodness. If you’ve read the book, you will see the nod to the original name by the island that the characters live on, Tinsy Town. An island where the characters emotions control their weather.

As the project evolved, it became Q***rarchy, a brand rooted in my personal journey of coming out as q***r, facing challenges, and embracing my identity. I wanted to educate, represent, and create a community that celebrated q***rness.

But the heart of it all has always been about creating a world where everyone belongs—just like in Pinapel and Friends, a place where the characters aren’t just q***r-inclusive but diverse in every way. They represent autism, Down syndrome, wheelchair users, trans folks, those who use neopronouns, non-binary folks, and individuals who are visually impaired.

With Bliss Friends Club, we are returning to that original ethos of inclusivity for all. This is a space where everyone—no matter their background, identity, or abilities—can find joy, love themselves, and embrace their bliss.

Thank you for your continued support through every step of this evolution. Your encouragement has meant everything. Together, we’ll keep building a world that celebrates diversity and empowers everyone. BLISS to ALL!

I have copies of the Today’s Omaha Woman magazine in the shop. It includes many other amazing humans doing wonderful things in the Omaha community. Stop by to say hi and grab a free copy! 

Rowena Cage is an artist, author and advocate. Their business, Q***rarchy, focuses on positivity and love of self, and also advocates and affirms individual gender expression and gender identity.

Cage’s spirit of inclusion is evident in their art classes and participation in exhibitions and events at places such as Hot Shops Art Center and Nebraska Furniture Mart. This past month, Rowena has used art to teach about and celebrate Black history.

These activities support the vision of Q***rarchy becoming a community where all are welcome, where people of all genders and sexualities are free to share their thoughts and feelings and themselves with pride and dignity. Cage says the concept of Q***rarchy is empowering.

Get Ready for an Unforgettable Evening! 🌈🌟 Join us tomorrow November 15th at the College of Saint Mary, Mercy Hall, Warde Conference Center for 'Q***r Table Talk: Honoring our Trans History.' This is a not-to-miss panel conversation in honor of Transgender Awareness Week, in collaboration with Inclusive Communities and Out Nebraska. 🏳️‍⚧️

🕕 The evening kicks off at 6 PM with a warm welcome, followed by an enriching panel discussion diving deep into trans history and experiences. Post-panel, engage in breakout rooms for intimate conversations, then regroup for a full group discussion. We'll wrap up with evaluations at 7:30 PM – your feedback shapes our future!

🤟 ASL and Spanish language interpretation will be provided, ensuring an inclusive experience for all.
