Pumpkin season is getting closer!

I know it still feels a little early to be talking pumpkins, but this is the time of year when I start thinking about what I want to create for fall.

My Pumpkin Succulents are a little different from your typical pumpkin arrangement. I use whole, uncarved pumpkins and design right on top with succulents, dried flowers, grasses, moss, and other natural touches.

And I don't necessarily choose the prettiest or most perfect pumpkin. šŸ˜‰

Give me a pumpkin with a few bumps, a funny shape, or an unusual color and I'm happy!

I especially love the earthy white, green, grey, blue-grey, and slate-colored pumpkins because they fit so beautifully with our Pacific Northwest surroundings.

I can hardly believe weā€™re already talking about fall. While weā€™re still enjoying these beautiful summer days, Iā€™ve started getting excited about one of my favorite seasons to design for.

Iā€™ve been dreaming up new fall floral ideas, playing with dahlias and grasses, thinking about natural Pacific Northwest textures, and even experimenting with the idea of adding fresh fruit and vegetables to some of my designs. šŸ‘šŸ‚

I havenā€™t created all of these ideas yet ā€” some are still just floating around in my head! And honestly, thatā€™s one of my favorite parts of being a florist.

It is one of the hardest questions people ask when ordering sympathy flowers.

The truth is, there are no perfect words after someone loses someone they love.

A simple message can say:

šŸ¤ I care.
šŸ¤ You are not alone.
