I wanted to share (long post) of what has been on my heart for a while now. I am changing the name of my business. The reason behind it is a bit of a story. I have been stitching for almost 20 years! Life has happened during those years. Some good, some bad. Everytime I had tragedy in my life I went to my machine. My tears landed on it many times. When I lost my mom I was devastated! She is the one who taught me to sew. My creativity healed my heart and keep my mind busy! When I was pregnant with Maddie my belly was at the machine many hours when I had my store downtown. When she couldn't sleep or I couldn't consol her I put her bed by the machine and she would instantly be soothed from the sound.. And goodness when I lost my best friend and husband that was a hard one. After fighting depression I made myself get up and start working! I knew it was heal my heart as it had done before. It was a very busy Christmas season working with my cousins by my side keeping me on track! Then breast cancer hit out of the blue! Never the news you want to hear at 44!!! So with a great support system a double mastectomy was coming even if I didn't want another want to go through it but I had to fight! After surgery I had strict orders which I did bend a little ๐.. but I was tired of sitting that is not me!! So back to the old faithful I went! It wasn't easy because of how much my arms and muscles were affected but I did it!!! So if you have read all this I am changing the name, again so please follow me on media if you see me pop up. I have had so many faithful customers over the years that has helped me support and raise my girls. So thankful for you!!! So "soulful stitches" it will be.. The name comes from where I have put my soul into my work and my machine has stitched me back together so so many times! New designs and items coming soon with same quality! Stay tuned and again thank your for the many years of support โค
