8 cutting boards completed and shipped today.

The walnut live edge boards are from a tree harvested from our property last year.

The other three, end grain boards, were off cuts from other projects. Purple Heart, hickory(from our property), maple, cherry, and walnut(again harvested from our property).

We can now flatten those big slabs of wood. Up to about 8” thick and 38” wide by 85” long. We “CAN” do thicker pieces as well. We can actually get up to about 11-1/2” thick lumber on our flattening table.

Need a flat table top...give us a holllar.

This project tugged at the ole heart just a bit. (Anyone who knows me knows that this is a false statement. I have no heart...feelings) I digress...

A solid Cherry wood Memorial Flag display case.

The soldiers that volunteer to put their lives on the line for our freedoms are a special breed. Only about 1% of Americans take that oath.

We owe 100% of our freedom, our constitutionally protected rights, to them and all of the ones before.

Give a special thank you to the next soldier/military personnel you encounter. They will humbly accept your thanks but it means more to them than they’ll ever outwardly admit.

God bless our military.

344 BF of cedar milled, glued up, jointed, sanded and dados cut since Friday morning.

Man it’s been hot!!

*****Edit...2 days to assemble and after 3 solid 8 hour days sanding...The finished product...305+/-BF of Cedar and about 10 BF of hard Maple(breadboard ends and wedges) and this is the table.

This thing is stupid heavy.

Cut out old broken screws, replaced with new screws and added reinforcement to the old and rusted metal where the screws went through, media blasted, sanded and primed and painted...ready for return.

Another project going out today for another of our great freedom supporting Vets??
All Solid Cherry and Hard Maple edge glued, the Union is hard maple with blue stain. The stars are 9mm shell casings. All coated with 2 coats of Gloss polyurethane.

While you’re out this weekend, in celebration of this “holiday”; drinking, bbq’ing, boating, partying, and whatever else you might find to do, please remember the reason/what you’re celebrating.

Please remember that many of the young lives lost for your right to do these things were waaaay too young to die and many too young to “legally” participate in many of your activities.

Please remember that this is to be a “memorial” of those lost lives. Please please take just a moment to recognize each of those lives that were given in support of your Liberties.

Our military doesn’t fight because they hate the enemy in front of them. They fight and many die, because of their love for what and who is behind them.

Please make it a point to celebrate those lives. Each of them were individuals fighting for many!!
