Well, boys and girls, it is with a very heavy heart full of love and everlasting memories that today we have finally said goodbye to the Oldsmar Flea Market after 30 wonderful years of bringing joy to generations of gamers and collectors of all ages. Whether you were just looking at the nostalgia or there buying the next best game for your collection, Jim and Rita Hammock welcomed everyone with a warm smile, a few good laughs, and an experience you will most likely never forget. They were like grandparents to so many who grew up visiting the shop until they were old enough to bring their kids and introduce them to what once was. Jim and Rita made friends and met so many colorful people from all walks of life while passing through the flea market. They were both always 100% dedicated and worried about one thing and one thing only and that was serving you, the customer, and making sure you left satisfied with something you just couldn’t wait to take home. They may no longer be here, but we all know the stories of Jim and Rita’s impression left on each of us will last for generations to come. We will all miss them and the shop dearly. Thank you, Jim, Thank you, Rita, but most of all, thank you to all the customers, visitors and supporters we’ve had these past 3 decades. You will never truly know what it meant to Jim and Rita that you stopped by. So long for now! 💜
