Happy New Year! I wanted to share my first spread in my new art journal for 2026!!!
It’s a representation of my WOTY (word of the year). I chose “Release” as my word for 2026 in an effort to focus on me releasing what no longer serves me well, and to focus more on releasing, or sending out positive vibes and joy into the world. I’m planning on letting go of unnecessary pressures and anxieties and instead focus on giving more….loving more…and being more present and connected to others in REAL life….not just behind the screen. More smiles and compliments to strangers, and helping those who are most vulnerable and in need. It’s safe to say that 2025 was a tough year for many of us but I’m still hopeful that 2026 can turn it all around. And this imagery is how my playful, joyful heart imagines it all to look. 💗
With that said, I have decided to take a break from social media. While I’m excited to step back and be more involved with my local community and those closest to me, I’m not looking forward to missing out on my little community that I’ve created here online. I’ve met some of the kindest people here who love my art and the joy that I try to spread with it. So in an effort to stay in touch with all of you, I’m setting up an email list for anyone who would like to join.…whether we talk regularly or we’ve never even met, I would like to invite you to be my penpal via email so we can continue this artsy relationship away from the pressures of social media.
