What happens when you don't pick up your nuc (nucleus colony) on the scheduled dates? They get an offsite break!
Their front doors are open and they can forage, take potty breaks, and chill a bit. There's feed available unless they can find something better. The plants to the right are all Vitex negundo, the preferred variety for honey bees, but it likely won't bloom for another month or so.
We'll do an inspection this weekend to check them out. Sunday night we'll close the best 9 and take them back to the store Monday morning for customers to pick up. The other 5 will stay in reserve for the time being.
