Hosting our Annual Clothing Swap in our new location at Swell House!!! Same system, new style—bring-a-bag, take-a-bag! This is the most sustainable way of shopping—re-circulating fashion within the community by making closet space for what no longer serves your style and scooping new pieces for FREEEEEE. Who outgrows clothing even faster? The littles!! We have added an additional day dedicated to baby/childrens clothing as it’s been highly requested!

Adult Clothing Swap - Sat, March 21st 12-2pm
Children Clothing Swap - Sun, March 22nd 12-2pm

To Note….
+ Use this time to go through your closet and set clothing aside
+ Bring a bag of CLEAN, wear’able clothing day-of to add to pile
+ Clothing only…no shoes/jewelry etc. please!
+ Use the bag you came with—
+ The pile is unisex (:
+ Everything left behind will be donated &/or used for upcycling projects!

Weeeeee’re back! The Talking Threads are putting “Vintage” in the ~Coffee, Vintage, Social~ at Swell House, the Seacoasts newest hotspot. Find us above the cafe in our freshly curated showroom and upcycle studio. Hours will be updated as we find our footing but this weekend, come on up 10-5pm Saturday and 10-3pm Sunday. Our friend, Xander will be on the floor playing tunes 2-4pm for a shop & sip. Hope to sea yaaaa!

This year: hosted in our upcoming space above the cafe at Swell House.
Expect: heaps of vintage and upcycle piled on a freshly painted checkered floor.

THE TALKING THREADS ARE MOVING !!!
This one’s wordy….but we like to Talk, what can we say?
Holy smokes…5 years building our dreamy vintage & upcycle store in the center of Downtown Ogunquit? Talk about, “Once in a Lifetime!”
It’s sad to see a chapter ending and man, would we be having a hard time mending had it not been for what transpired this summer six minutes Southbound….a new place we like to call, Swell House. Now we may be bias, but as David Byrne would say, “This Must Be The Place.” The vibes, the lighting, the coffee..oooh the coffee, the free parking, the Route One access, the people…oooh the people, the gluten-free local pastries, the 70’s Cali-surf shack-meets-New England-lobsterman aesthetic, the exposed wood from the 1800’s…what great wood? The overall feel is what we fell for four months ago when myself, Nater the Creator and one of our very best pals, Michy made the decision to go for it. We opened a place that with you guys are turning into a house with coffee, a place for social and now with all the vintage we plan to bring..a home to hold all the stories between the seams.

I took my journal out to find an excerpt worrying about abandoning Talking Threads, our lil fashionable love child - in that a promise to never let it go, but let it grow. With our new venture taking shape, we are excited to stitch together something unique while maintaining Talking Threads as it’s own—same passion, same craft, just a new place to call home. Experience the iconic shop and sip as we weave our beloved vintage store and upcycling studio upstairs above the cafe coming soon..until then let’s Talk Swell over pumpkin spice lattes on the main floor or come help us “Burn Down The House,” here at 20 Shore Road all October. Everything must go!

We love you Ogunquit, we will be back in clever-winded ways.
