Wildcats, come enjoy a FREE whitewater clinic and learn the basics of swiftwater rescue with hands on practice!

This is a beginner-friendly session designed to build awareness and confidence around river safety systems by teaching participants how to properly deploy a throw bag and be introduced to basic mechanical advantage systems, including a simple 3:1 setup.

When: July 1, 2026 from 5:30-7 p.m.

Where: Outdoor Adventure & Welcome Center

WSU Student: FREE || Faculty, Staff, Community Members: $5

Foundational safety and rescue skills used in whitewater environments will be introduced and demonstrated.

Expect nothing but smiles on our Colorado River Rafting Trip this summer! Come experience everything Moab has to offer, from red rocks to breathtaking stars, this will be an adventure you’ll never forget.

Enjoy iconic views of the Fisher Towers while riding rapids up to Class III during the two runs of the Moab Daily section.

Mandatory Pre Trip Meeting: July 7 || 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Weekend Raft Trip Dates: July 10-12, 2026

Location: Colorado River Fisher Towers (Moab Daily) Section, Near Moab, UT

WSU Student: $175 || WSU Faculty Staff: $250 || Non-WSU: $320
