Happy New Moon in Cancer, folks🌑

I won't beat around the bush: this is potentially one of the biggest new moons of the year. Transformation is the word... and today, the transformation within through self-nourishment and attunement.

A few things I share in this energy update:
✦ Cancer is the energy of the Great Mother - home + hearth, that gentle nourishing energy. She asks: what is it that YOU need?

✦ Jupiter just moved into Leo lasy week for 13 months + is deeply felt with current transits : the radiance of your heart, your luminous self, is ready to expand + shine outward. Move from the 💗

✦ Tomorrow, Uranus, Neptune + Pluto weave into Barbault's basket... a once-in-a-lifetime alignment many are calling a new Renaissance. "As within, so without." Restructure.

✦ And the Chariot card from the Major Arcana rules this season. Willpower isn't the way through. Attunement is.

It's time to shift how we think of and engage with our daily lives. Realize you are a walking energy field, and how/where we place our eneegy is everything. You are a walking symphony, either in harmony or dissonance.

This month is asking: where are you putting your energy? Can you hear your soul song? The cosmos is beckoning towards restructuring as individuals + collective...

Tarot Thursday 🎊👏 11:30-2:30. Walk-Ins Welcome!

This morning I drew the 2 of swords, and it was the same card drawn on our Tuesday class. 'Body + Sky' (say whaaa?!).

2 of swords is often interpreted that we have a mental decision to make - we must choose.

But to go deeper, I see this card as not only saying we have a "mountain" of decision to make... but it is a gentle reminder that sometimes it is not so much about yes or no, or right or wrong - it is about discerning that we need to find balance... the middle bath. And it takes 2 sides/things or opposites to balance.

And if a decision In fact DOES need to be made... this card reminds us to seek that decision/resolution within.

When we encouter a tough to decision in choose, or we feel indecisive... we often seek others opinion.

"What should I do?" "Should I stay or go?".

2 of Swords reminds us to stop the externalizing of knowledge and seek the guru within. It asks us to sharpen our discernment by using our head AND heart to get clarity and decide. Only you know which direction/choice will support + resource your future.

In this deck, the author pairs crystals with each card. How great that she chose Dumortierite, as this stone helps us seek intuitive clarity. To be able to walk the dark subconscious and emerge with a truth that helps us make an aligned choice.

I see tarot as a tool to help us connect with this inner clarity, intuition, and be a sacred space to reflect, gain perspective, and perhaps be reminded of something we shoved aside or have forgotten within ourselves.

I will keep this caption brief; in this video I speak on, where can you reclaim your independence through consciousness? What are you feeling individually in the way your communicate, perceive reality that is actually a collective feel for shift, change, transformation? I also share here that my weekly yoga class has shifted; I've finally cultivated a class that combines embodied movement/yoga inspired by tarot and the current astro.

This class is still focused on alignment + breath, but brings a more esoteric and dynamic aspect...as we start each class with a tarot draw and touch on current astrology, which inspires the embodied movement - helping you connect on a different level with body + energy.

It's exciting to weave together modalities that have supported me over the years, and that I share in other veins of work for this specific class.

Great post for the week of the 4th 🥰🎊🙌🙏🌊☀️

July 4th week is among us, y'all, and it's traditionally the busiest and most bustling week of the year in Ocracoke. With gaggles of people milling about, hot weather, and all things in excess (including but not limited to food and booze), it can most definitely be a time to test our nervous systems.

This is simply a gentle reminder that there are great ways to counter that "stress" (even though vacation is exciting, we can all admit that it's stressful at times, am I right?). A few practical suggestions...

1) Wake up early and walk the village, or better yet the beach. There is NOTHING IN THE WORLD like an early morning on Ocracoke before the heat sets in. Enjoy the first morning chirps of the birds and the feeling of calm before the greater world emerges. There's magic and medicine there.

2) Register for a Yoga class with Ocracoke Island Yoga Studio. There are many options, as classes are offered daily. If Yoga isn't your thing, there are even more rigorous fitness classes offered if that's in your wheelhouse or realm of interest.

3) Book yourself a massage with Ocracoke Massage & Wellness (obviously I'm partial to this one 😉) or any of the other therapists on the island... we've multiplied as of this year! 🙌

4) Look into one of the many Sound healing or Reiki offerings with Brooke German at Little Rituals

5) Lower your expectations. One of the primary draws that brings so many to the island is the slower pace compared to the mainland "Real World" 😜. Embrace that, and know that it's okay to simply slow down.
