🍋 "Thomas Wolfe once said you can't go home again. Well, that's great for old Tom. But he wasn't a chick who made a pact with her friends when she was twelve to get together whenever any one of them needed each other. So here I am driving back to my childhood home" -Now and Then 🍋

When we created Banner & Bow almost two years ago my biggest dream was to make celebrating simple and beautiful in a world of busy and quick and generic. A lot of things have changed these past two year from jobs, to moving three times and switching our shop platform multiple times.

I’ve learned so much along the way and have done my best to adjust to the needs of my community and of my family.

However, my mission has remained the same. To create a way to take the stress out of brining the people you love together for magical moments and memories.

Just Peachy 🍑 I’ve gotten soooo many questions recently about e-design services!!!!Whether you’re not local or have just grown to prefer virtual meets (thanks COVID 😂) it’s a great option.

Meadow’s super sweet party is an example of an e-Design! Here’s how it works:

1. You and I set up a time to chitchat virtually so I can get some important details and your vision

2. You receive a mood board with purchasing links to EVERYTHING you need to make your vision come to life

3. I’m on call the day of the party to answer any questions you have and give you any advice you might need

As I sit here reflecting on what 2020 has done and been my heart is still remains filled with so much joy.

Even in the darkness of this year that has been filled with fear and uncertainty I have witnessed the most profound acts of love.

From beautiful babies being born, to people having the time to follow their passion, and people stepping up and in when they were needed. I have seen so many miracles.

This time has begged nothing but the question of how will you spend your very numbered days here in this beautiful world?

Such a fun time helping design and create the most magical boho Dino party for both her littles.

When Tyler and I bought our first home I had so many dreams about hosting these gorgeous parties with cleaver themes, yummy food and the perfect decor. If the Pinterest people could do it why couldn't I?⠀

Two parties later, Tyler looked over at me with his eyes half closed and said "No more of this". He was burnt out and so was I. My grandious plans were often cut short due to the everyday duties I had on my plate. ⠀
⠀
There just had to be a better way to do this. Sitting there on my couch exhausted Tyler and I came up with the concept of Banner & Bow. What if we help people get everything they needed at one place and have it delivered right to their door?⠀

Even my weary husband perked up at that idea. Four months later Banner & Bow was officially opened. Since then I have had the privilege of virtually and in person helping busy people just like you create the parties of their dreams and I couldn't be happier.⠀

Live is too short not to gather with the people we love and the people we love deserve to have the best of us. ⠀

My very first dinner party I attempted to make 5 different flatbreads, 2 different pastas and tirramisu, all of which I had never made in my life 😱

Needless to say 4 hours into cooking I was way in over my head and sobbing on the kitchen floor 😭

IT 👏🏻 WAS 👏🏻 AWFUL 👏🏻

The food was bad, like real bad and I was tired and exhausted and the night had just started.

I learned pretty quickly after that and a phone call with my grams, the queen hostess 👸🏼 where I went wrong.

Dinner parties are NOT the time to try out brand new recipes! As fun as it might be to flip through your Pinterest to meal plan, just don’t do it unless you want to end up a mess on you kitchen floor.

Learn from me people, make meals that you have made ATLEAST, once before, in a low pressure situation like family dinner. You’ll be much more confident and you can better plan the timing of your meal, leaving you able to breathe, and breathing is always a good thing 😉
