Lobster Port Trap Company’s mission is to build lobster, crab, prawn and live fish traps and components, and, provide a stress free market for the commercial trap fisheries’ supplies and innovation. Lobster Port strives to be the builder of choice by Southern California Trap Fishery. Commercial fishermen (and women) typically work from one species’ season to the next. Sometimes two or more at a time. They have to be on top of boat maintenance, repairs and upgrades, travel and sea-time, storage of raw materials and work-space. The owner, Geoff Hunt is a Commercial Fisherman, and a member of California Lobster and Trap Fishermen's Association. Lobster Port uses American products and suppliers to manufacture the best gear to help you increase landing totals. Riverdale vinyl coated wire and WA Machine Co. tools and clips from the East Coast. We also use local companies for many components including Vista Fence Co., C&M escape ports and seal rings, and Higgins zinc anodes.
