WCGL Gary's Custom Leathers West Coast Gypsy Leathers is a boutique online leather in 1969 it opened in Laguna Beach. My passion has always been making leather.

I opened West Coast Gypsy Custom Leathers in 1969, in Laguna Beach CA. Back then, social media consisted of having a booth at the local festival (the Sawdust Festival) or word of mouth. Those first years were rough but a lot of fun. I lived in the back of the store and took cold showers but loved every minute of it. Business picked up and eventually boomed. Word of mouth is the best form of advert

ising and people loved my custom leatherwork. In those days fringe was in, and almost everyone wanted fringe jackets, pants, vest, bags, the more and longer the better. I closed the store in the early 80s and went on to other things. I’ve now retired but a little over a year ago my son and grandkids talked me into starting back up, making them everything from wallets to large ladies’ bags. This inspired me to start doing what I love again! I reopened West Coast Gypsy Leathers as an online store in the spring of 2021. I am able and willing to make you and yours anything out of leather.
