Happy 6.5 day!
I love the 6.5, not going to pretend like I don't. Learned my grandfather loved the 6.5's as well. I have a few relics from my grandfather and a Carl Gustaf Swedish Ma**er in 6.5x55 Swiss is one of them! His deer rifle was a 6.5x55 and my deer rifle is a 6.5CM.
He purchase this from a Swiss rifle catalog in 1960. "Sporterizing" them was pretty common practice then, today heavily frowned on. That was the rifle culture then. I love this Carl Gustaf 6.5x55 and would not want it any other way.
We can say my rifle is also sporterized. That is rifle culture now days. Perhaps I'll be frowned upon in 70 years. Either way we love the 6.5's in this family, and here is my lil 6.5 family
