The team at Picture Woods creates the highest quality molding in America from sustainable hardwoods, largely grown here as well. This is a family owned business that goes back decades. We have featured there moldings in our projects for the United States District Court throughout northern California and the Washington hospital in Fremont and for many of our discerning clients.

This is the story about how they go, the extra mile in their sustainability programs to prevent landfill waste

We produce a LOT of sawdust. But the good news is that it goes to a good home: farms and gardens in Boulder County. In fact, we're the largest producer of compost in the whole county!

Framing Materials Matter: Jan Balet Lithograph

This signed & numbered print by German-born artist Jan Balet (1913–2009) came to us still in its 1970s frame. Unfortunately, the old acidic board had caused visible discoloration, and mold was starting to appear on the mats.

We carefully replaced the damaged materials with acid-free mats and backing, upgraded the acrylic to UV-protective museum glass, and fit it back into the original frame.

Take a look at how this pieces was transformed with the new materials.

Tip: If your artwork was framed decades ago or shows signs of mold, moisture, or fading, it may be time to have it inspected and reframed to prevent permanent damage.
