A meditation on light, sound, and healing

The original score, music for microscopy, is up on my SoundCloud as well (link in bio).

It’s been 15 days since my last supply run. I’ve found refuge in bunker 13F, but what little gear I found there is almost gone. I had to run out for more today. The runs are getting harder, but I can still see the beauty in the world through all the gloom. I’m not sure if this will end soon or ever…maybe the previous inhabitant knew the same feeling. Maybe they’re still out there. I wonder what made them leave. Whoever they are, I hope they’re safe.

I’ve been learning and improving my shirt making process over the last two years, and recently created my first batch of hand dyed, screen printed shirts.

This design is called Tam Topo, in honor of the mountain I grew up exploring: Mt. Tam in Marin County.

In early 2021, I left the Bay Area to explore the mountain states; Since I worked fully remote already, I decided to take that literally. I drove to Arizona, Utah, and Colorado, where I mountain biked through deserts, rocky mountain ranges, freezing lightning storms, and lush forests. I was sketching this design in notebooks for weeks, trying different iterations and endlessly tweaking it.

I’ve always been drawn to mountains. They inspire me because they remind me of how strong I can be and yet how small and insignificant I am at the same time. They are powerful in that they accentuate and teach those dualities.

Though I saw so many varied, novel landscapes, it was never a question in my mind which mountain would be my first topographic design.

This design is just one of many pieces that represent home for me and what that means, which is different for everybody. But regardless of where home is, knowing what it feels like inside is the most important. That knowing is able to transcend place and live within us.

rpm stands for revelations per moment, which represents moving through and being moved by spaces and places that inspire or challenge us to learn, unlearn, and relearn.

Moments are the immeasurable brother of time, within which we can all self reflect and decide on the positive changes we want to achieve for ourselves. And it’s moments we all have time for.

I have several shirts of this design available for purchase. If you’d like one feel free to DM me with your size and I’ll share photos of the options I have.

I hope you have a great day and continue to achieve positive growth for yourself, in whatever way that looks.
