Join me on my new adventure of spreading the awareness of bullying and trying to put a stop to it. I'll be making trucker hats and beanies with custom leather engraved patches on them with positive sayings on them against bullying. As many may know my off season is winter time so I try and spend it wisely, and I couldn't think of a better way then trying to get the word out that Bullying is so very much alive and well in our schools, everyday life and work. I hold Bullying close to me after witnessing our oldest getting teased and bullied right in front of us, it was soooo hard to hold in my emotions and not lash out but I knew that would only make things worse. I also have a friend whose child has been on the receiving end of bullying multiple times. I'm tired of too many of us just chalking it up to "well that's life and it will make them stronger" and just moving on. We need more consequences for bullies and bullying. Please, if you ever see someone being bullied no matter what age, stand up and say something. With every purchase of one of my Anti-Bullying hats, a donation will be made to multiple anti-bullying organizations. The ones I have found are the Gilbert Brown Foundation and Stomp Out Bullying. I'd like to start out by donating to an organization here in Wisconsin first, so if anyone has any ideas or trusted organizations they know of, please let me know. To keep the costs down and the majority going to an organization, I'm only going to be offering Plain Black Trucker and Plain Black Beanies.
Now I'll answer the question that most people will probably ask: no, I'm not a 501(c)(3) who's asking for monetary donations, I'm an individual who makes products to wear that you can purchase and I will take a portion of that purchase and donate it. Simple as that.
