Meet { I N T E R L O C K }
What if movement was engineered?
Interlock began as a study in repetition — identical forms, aligned with precision on a six-foot base using dowels and spacers to control placement and spacing.
The “gears” are actually IKEA lanterns — reimagined, painted, and positioned just enough to engage one another.
Then came movement.
A single motor beneath the red gear activates the entire system — transferring energy across each form, causing them to rotate in equal and opposite directions.
Action. Reaction. Connection.
Individually, they are still.
Together, they become dynamic.
This is kinetic design — where structure creates movement, and one element influences the whole.
Because when one moves… everything responds.
Thank you to for the amazing presentation opportunity and for the wonderful sponsorship!
