Some logos look even better stitched than printed. Here's how to get yours there. 🪡
Part 3 of our embroidery series: making a logo look great in thread.
→ Keep it bold. Thick lines and solid shapes stitch clean. Hairline details and soft gradients get lost.
→ Watch the small text. Lettering under about a quarter inch tall starts to blur together. A tiny tagline may belong somewhere bigger.
→ Fewer colors, more impact. One or two thread colors on a contrasting garment often read stronger than six.
→ Contrast is everything. If it's hard to see on screen, it'll be hard to see on fabric.
→ Let it breathe. A simple design with open space looks premium. A crowded one looks busy.
The relay sweatshirts in the photo say it all: one thread color, bold line art, and a design you can read from across the room.
Next week: embroidery isn't just for polos.
