On Wednesday, we hosted our Annual Volunteer luncheon, where we recognized and gave thanks for the wonderful volunteers that contribute their time and talents to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital.

The work that they do does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for our volunteers! Click through the images in this post to see names of our volunteers and their donated hours.

The Auxiliary also made our annual donation to the hospital, in the amount of $50,000! This donation will go towards the purchase of a Fetal Monitor and 5 Fetal Monitor Carts, 3 Delivery Tables, New Waiting Room Furniture for Maternity, and a Bariatric Recliner for Women's Health.

This donation was made possible by fundraisers held over the last year, the Pink Door Thrift Shop and hospital Gift Shop, and the many generous community supporters and friends of the Auxiliary. Thank you for your continued support and generosity!

A big thank you to The Canasawacta Country Club for hosting a delicious lunch in a beautiful setting, Pires Flower Baskets for our potted plants, and to Martha and Herb Ryan for providing rousing entertainment!

Chenango Memorial Hospital Auxiliary mourns the recent passing of Lauren Howell, a treasured past board member, who passed away last week. Lauren was our hospitality chair for several years and always did a wonderful job coordinating our employee appreciation day and annual volunteer luncheon. She was also on the Festival of trees committee and was always willing to lend a helping hand to any of our ongoing initiatives. She loved greeting families at our annual Breakfast with Santa, and she was the best of the best when it came to volunteers. We will miss her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, cheerful optimism and her enthusiasm for everything good in our community. CMH auxiliary board extends our deepest sympathies to Lauren and her family.

Yesterday, the Auxiliary continued our Provider Welcome Basket Initiative, handing one to the new Orthopedics Physician Assistant, Collette Johnson!

What a great night we had at Trivia Night!

This year’s event brought 15 teams of players all vying to compete for top place using random knowledge to answer fun questions. Thank you to all of the teams that came out to play! We would like to extend a BIG thank you to our prize sponsors: Ninas, Dickey’s BBQ, Park Place, and Scott Osborne of McCraith Beverages.

Last Thursday was UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s annual Employee Appreciation Day, where we honor and say thank you to our amazing employees at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital.

Our hospital would not be what it is today without the wonderful people who work there!

Thanks to the generosity of Gilligan's Restaurant Ice Cream, we were able to provide employees at all UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital locations with delicious ice cream today as a way of showing our appreciation!

We are grateful to all of you each and every day!💐🍨💕

The Auxiliary has started an exciting new initiative: creating welcome baskets for new UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital providers.

We hope this initiative contributes to the welcoming environment created by the hospital during the onboarding process. It also serves as a unique opportunity to show how incredible the UHS Chenango Memorial staff is.

The baskets include goods from local vendors: G & G Soy Candles, Windy Acres Maple Syrup LLC, and Knuckle Down Coffee, all of which are owned by employees of the hospital. The baskets showcase many small businesses in Chenango County, also including goods from Gallery Three-Two-One in Oxford, and Hillcrest Lavender Farm in Sherburne.
