Yeah, you should go for the full wedding table. We had such an incredible time planning these tables with Katie.

What began as a simple assortment of bud vases quickly expanded into an American grown flower explosion across reception tables. A swath of ikebana inspired arrangements boasting delphinium, spray roses, Tweedia, explosion grass, and more sprang to life for this June 2026 wedding.

Here we are, the precipice of another wedding season planning period.

2026 weddings and events have wrapped and we now begin the beautiful task of working with our 2027 wedding couples to begin planning their events.

We are actively booking 10 - 15 more weddings and events for 2027 and we want to hear from you! With more than 75 weddings under the studio’s management we have been able to curate a collection of fine art inspired, seasonally intentional and sustainably minded wedding flower design suites each perfectly coordinated to our individual couples.

I will close our calendar come February…so please reach out soon!

🥹 words cannot express the abundance of joy felt working alongside this pair.

After spending month planning from afar, changing details, table shapes, layouts, and any other element you could imagine what came together was a symphonic explosion of floral expression fit for these two and their wedding day.

Championing American grown flowers from CT, CA, OR, VA & AK there was no shortage of American grown beauty.

Truthfully, I have *much* more to say about the expansive nature of this wedding day and our entire shared floral experience but for now a sweet series of photos to share the pure delight of this special wedding day.

All thing beautiful and good from this October wedding celebration.

Dramatic limelight hydrangeas, ruffled and textured foliage, sculpture inspired design and the most tender love story to accompany the day.

We cherish working with you on wedding days to bring intentionally designed flower suited to life. From working on one of a kind structural bases, to hand designing officiant books. Wrapping ribbons around bouquets to symbolize sisterly bonds…I mean the list truly goes on.

We are approaching the end of wedding season 2026 and we are delighted with how the season is *finally* coming to an end. (We love you all, we are just tired.) 2027 wedding bookings are full steam ahead and we cannot wait to see what future wedding seasons will hold.

Dreaming of a clear wedding day in May…

For C & N we composed a series of abundant hydrangea clouds to line their head table at the Tokeneke Club, in Darien CT. Challenged with “how do we source hydrangeas in May?” Our incredible CA farming partners brought some agricultural *magic*

American grown wedding flowers have a special something about them. Being able to capitalize on in season blooms means we are able to bend our compositions to the whim of the season and craft wedding flowers intentionally designed for your wedding day.

Plush cream hydrangea, pops of dancing rudbeckia, and plump white garden roses are a sublime base for an abundant July bridal bouquet.

Could certainly get lost looking at the details of this bouquet forever!

It has come to my attention that I have STOPPED talking about what makes Three Roots *special* and I’d like to change that!

Yes, yes, yes, everyone you work with on your wedding in some capacity will bring their special something to your wedding day and this is what we’ve got! (Well, one of the things we’ve got.)

Since we opened in 2021 the team and I have been working towards providing a sustainable approach to wedding flowers. This means eliminating unnecessary single use plastics, sourcing American grown (hyper-local when possible), counseling you to design with in-season flowers and abandoning the use of floral foam!

Working sustainably is a labor of love that includes many hours of trouble shooting, problem solving, workshopping and scheming because the floral industry was not built to be eco-friendly! As we look ahead to 2027 and seasons to come we invite you to send us a message to learn about making your wedding flowers sustainable.

My favorite poem is “Flower in the Crannied Wall” by Lord Alfred Tennyson. This mid-19th century poem perfectly captures the Transcendental idea of the divine caught in the expression of nature. One informs the other and together they create harmony. To understand one is to know the other and when we are merged with either we find the other.

Yes, yes, maybe esoteric and frustrating to parse out but oh how I love those prose!

As a wedding florist I often find my role is to be united with my Transcendental friends. I tinker with stems and blooms to bring abundant visuals to life designed to tell stories otherwise lost to interior musings. In the small moments of expression, expansion and composition the truth of a couple’s love story springs to life and grows around them to fully bring their wedding days to life.

There is so much more to share and say but for now my lingering thoughts on the importance of working with a wedding florist who is interested in bringing their near impossible (love) to life through floral design.
