Cool tones and chocolate accents from September 2026

What a fun opportunity to work with a color palette that broke the rules. Marionberry Milkshake Dahlias peppered with Chocolate Cosmos created a plush silhouette filled with early fall blooms. The tiny star shaped Tweedia filled the piece out perfectly and created a lively and and entirely seasonal wedding day bouquet.

The bridal bouquet never ceases to amaze me with the endless assortments available to create with. (Hint hint…we are still booking for 2026 & 2027 dates!)

Today I turn 31, and that is a gift.

In a recent letter my friend Sr. Maria of Divine Mercy reminded me that even The Virgin Mother had to be told “Be Not Afraid.” Sr. Maria was echoing this message to me as I lamented the seemingly endless trials of our earthly pilgrimage.

However, where there is seemingly endless worry there is even greater hope.

As I close the chapter on year 30 I look back on all that has been endured and I realize that through it all I have been fortunate enough to have divine love and care on my side. From the endless opportunities to design flowers for deeply personal causes to allowing my creative voice to sing in new ways that serve others the journey of my first year in this decade was a practice in trust and divine orchestration.

Sifting through photos this year one theme emerged “To Jesus through Mary.” At every corner my sweet spiritual mother held my hand and guided me closer to the one heart larger than any other on this earth. She took great care in protecting my heart and ensuring at each step I was fortified enough to keep growing closer to the love of her Son. In learning to let myself be seen and loved the challenges of greeting life head on became sweeter and more manageable and for that I am thankful.

Regardless of if you believe in a spiritual life or not I know for me the deep faith of knowing there is a blest creator behind it all has been a great comfort through the swirls of life. In my experience it is better and sweeter to know God and to grant Him access to my heart so I may continually grow. Yes, this is my business page but it is also a journal from my heart so please just know God will continue to be at the center of my work. He has so delicately touched my life that I can no longer separate His love from my life, and I thank you all for understanding that.

A special birthday gift as today is The Feast of the Ascension and with that there is an additional chance today to ascend upward with Christ…how excited I am to spend today buried in The Sacred Heart.

With joy, thanks, gratitude and love I am excited to continue sharing this journey of love through the lens of creation with all of you.

May is upon us and with that my favorite flowers have begun to bloom!

Garden roses, Lily of the Valley, Columbine, Peonies and Lilac are in full display now through the coming weeks and what a symphonic assortment of flowers to engage with.

Taking a trip down memory lane with Maddy’s near perfect May time bridal bouquet featuring some of these perfect springtime blooms.

I am buried deep in my garden these days planting perennials galore to one day of the garden of my dreams to design with for all of you! Now let’s hope the deer, rabbits, and other woodland critters don’t eat all the blooms!

Also, I hope to be more present on socials soon sharing all of the springtime work to come!

All the incredible floral details from the personal flowers at J & J’s wedding.

Julia from the start had a vision for single variety bridesmaid bouquets. Tweedia was the *obvious* choice for the blue bouquets but the white flowers were a bit of a quandary. Dahlias, larkspur, lisianthus, garden roses we couldn’t quite pick one out and then I saw the delphinium coming from California and we were sold!

All the frilly and textural details hidden and white flowers sprang to life in Julia’s bouquet which was a stunning mix of seasonal favorites and the few last remaining phlox for the year. The cherry on top, a weave by her sister including textile fragments from their late grandmother’s wardrobe.

What a dream to get lost in the details this way.

Sunny spring skies has settled here in CT and with it the abundant promises of spring time floral displays.

Our first event of the season is but a few weeks away and we are diligently crafting dazzling floral design stories for our incredible 2026 couples.

This season is a bit slower than normal with fewer weddings than is typical but we are not too concerned as we have exciting developments in the works!

That said…if you are interested in working with Three Roots on a smaller event I am available for intimate dinner parties, wedding/baby showers and other private events which made need floral design. Send me a DM or email to begin planning away!

Spring is officially here in my corner of CT. We are mere hours away from April and already we are being graced with her delicate showers with the promise of May flowers!

Peonies, garden roses, spirea and more will soon be at hand for us all to enjoy.

As the seasons turn and the promise of a new spring is ahead I am taking time to look at past work and reflect on the many journeys this studio has been on.

From a small dream started in a spare bedroom to now an independent studio focused on expansive flower story telling opportunities growing with Three Roots has been the creative adventure of a life time.

With great hope for what is ahead I am diligently planning and working towards continued expansion and flower design opportunities.

(Yes, this is a reminder that we are still booking 2026 & 2027 weddings and events.)

Three Roots is a fine arts informed wedding flower studio serving CT, NY, MA & RI. Nestled on the Norwalk river the team and I work closely with our couples to bring to life their individual wedding day flower stories through the language of color, sculpture and nature.

Built out of my own wedding flower experience and the belief that we could provide better Three Roots is a studio rooted in serving YOU!

Partnering with more than 50 American flower farms we bring the best in sustainable floristry to our couples and we have no signs of slowing down.
