We focus on educating our team & customers to have the best, ecologically friendly gardens possible. Natureworks is an organic garden center, landscape design, install and maintenance mecca. We specialize in cool, hard to find plants, organic solutions for any garden need, organic soils and beautiful pottery, statuary, fountains, books and gifts. The staff is extremely knowledgable and we love to

share information. We have weekly gardening walks/talks in the season and a free handout available on most garden issues. Our kids section is growing quite large as we are busy encouraging the next generation to love nature and garden! Come see us, stroll our gardens and talk plants!

I am sitting in my home office writing this email to you BUT I simply can't stop looking out the window at all of the life in my yard this week. So many monarchs. Swallowtails too. Goldfinches on the sunflowers. Bees buzzing. Hummingbirds who have found the crazy Leonatis nepetifolia that is finally blooming along with the pots of Cuphea and cardinal climber vine. How can a woman get her work done with all this happening?

Mid August is a good time to take stock of how things are going and start organizing your thoughts for any fall projects. I always renovate at least one garden bed every fall and I know exactly which one I am tackling this year. I also do most of my serious planting in September and October. I continue to take plants home every week and, if I don't get a chance to get them in the ground, I just keep them watered.
