We love the picture book Piece Out so much that we invited the author/illustrator to come to read it at the Book Bin!

Alex Willan is not only the author of Piece Out, but he also wrote and illustrated the popular series, The Worst!, which includes Unicorns Are the Worst!, Mermaids Are the Worst!, Dragons Are the Worst!, and coming in July, Monsters Are the Worst!.

We hope to make every day at Book Bin feel like a celebration of books, reading & readers. You know us; we'd rather boost you up than be boosted by you, but on Independent Bookstore Day, we ask for you to shop and show your support.

Bookstore Crawl in the Country!

This year, Chicagoland is BACK with 80+ bookstores joining the celebration with our annual Chicagoland Bookstore Crawl!

Each year, Independent Bookstores across the greater Chicago area ~ from Antioch, Grayslake & Libertyville to Glen Ellyn, Lockport, & Naperville to every little bookstore in between ~ the Chicagoland Bookstore Crawl encourages booklovers to indulge in bookstore tourism by visiting 10 or 15 stores in a single day to earn a 10% or 15% discount at participating bookstores all year.
