Our Outreach team visited the farmer’s market this morning with a new snow cone machine. We do this about twice per summer to be present in the community and keep people informed about our ministries and upcoming events.

Today, we served over 100 snow cones and talked to at least 200 people! And while we ask nothing in exchange, some patrons feel moved to give. Today, we received $85 in generous donations for our food pantry. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and helping to feed our community.

We also had at least 2 to 3 people wondering when and how they can donate food. You may always drop food off during food pantry hours on Thursday mornings and before worship services on Sundays (red wagon in the back of the church). If you have a large donation, these times don’t work for you, or you’re planning a food drive, please email the food pantry or call the parish office to coordinate a good time.

We want to take a moment to thank New Day Planning - Thrivent and Cindy's Diner and Restaurant for choosing to support multiple local organizations for this year's Summer of Hope Food Drive. As a result of this drive, the Trinity Food Pantry received 721 pounds of food!

Summer is often a difficult time for families with food insecurity, as kids no longer have access to the school lunch program. We're so very thankful to have extra stock of easy-to-prepare, kid-friendly meals to help out.

We'd also like to shout-out to our own Trinity members who support this program each year. Your generosity can't be acknowledged enough.

Mark your calendar if you haven't already! Trinity's 3rd annual Outdoor Movie Night in celebration of the end of the school year is Friday, June 19th. All in our nearby community are welcome.

This year's movie is Ernest Goes to Camp. If you haven't seen it before, it's a sweet movie with lots of chuckles.

"Ernest P. Worrell is a clumsy, well-intentioned maintenance man at Kamp Kikakee who dreams of becoming a camp counselor. His dream comes true when a group of juvenile delinquents arrives, and he is assigned to look after them. Despite initial hijinks and clashes with bullies, Ernest earns the boys' respect. Together, they team up to stop an evil strip-mining company from taking over and destroying the camp."
