Status Update 11/13/2022
We have fallen behind in the last few months. As many of you know, Voodoo is not my full time job. I have a very demanding career as a fire alarm and fire suppression technician, which requires me to be on-call. I also attend electrical school and have a family. I am working as best and as fast as I can to get things built and sent out. I understand that some people have been waiting for a long time and I apologize. Some things I can get out quicker than others because of materials. I have been a 1 man operation since I started in early 2020. I handle all aspects of the business by myself. Pickup design, winding, building, taking orders, inventory, logistics, customer service (I am sorry that sometimes it takes awhile to reply or not reply at all because it gets lost in my email). So here is what is going on with Voodoo Custom Pickups...
1. The biggest thing that happened recently was that myself and Joey Shredder had a good discussion. You all know that Joey has been with me since pretty much the beginning and is the head of graphic design. He designs all the custom artwork and our logos. I recently asked him to move into a larger role and we agreed that he will now be Vice President and will be taking up an apprentice role so we can have 2 people winding and building instead of just myself.
2. Hellraiser A8's are 95% complete and will be done in the upcoming weeks.
3. 1987 and 1988's will begin production and get done as fast as possible. I know the people that ordered have been waiting patiently and unfortunately I've had to issue refunds to a few. I have discussed this with Gregg Block and we are on the same page
4. TDSerracTs will start as well. We planned on a midsummer release but that wasn't something that was doable. So anyone waiting on the Shawn Davis signature, do not worry.
5. Sometime in 2023 there will be 3 new models coming out. Our take on the Iconic Gibson 500T, which will be labeled as the 500V. The final member of our very popular Horror Series which will be called the Redrum. And another secret project that I have been designing for quite some time.
6. We are hoping to release an active pickup sometime in the future. I have been designing and discussing a few circuit designs with good friend Park Kingery over at P.C.P Pedals. Definitely go check out his stuff, it'll blow you away.
7. We have also added a few new artists to our team. Joining Jerry Garcia, Greg Campbell, Odell Weaver, Gregg Block, and Shawn Davis... THE BAND REPENT guitarist Jeremy Amack and Billy Jack guitarist Stevil Helmer
Thank you for all of your support and we wouldn't be where we are without all of you.
