Thank you for an incredible winter season!

We’re so grateful for all of our amazing clients who trusted us to keep them warm on their Alaskan adventures.

We are now closed for the summer and will reopen in the fall (around mid-October).

Yay!!!! Maybe spring is finally on its way!

At 5:05PM, at the Fairbanks International Airport, the temperature finally broke freezing for the first time since October 31st. This breaks a 152 day streak and ties the record for the latest day with a maximum temperature above freezing.

As of today: 145 consecutive days at or below freezing 🥶

Fairbanks has officially been in a long-term relationship with freezing temperatures… and it’s getting serious.

The good news?
We may finally see temps above the freezing mark next week!

🥶 Another record low from 1930 has been tied this morning. Our temperatures will be gradually increasing through the week but it will remain well below normal for the foreseeable future.

Out delivering gear to keep people warm!
Not sure exactly how cold it is currently. I just know it’s somewhere between -40F and -60F. Only a tiny bit of ice fog outside of Fairbanks. Stay safe out there!

Solid advice from the Troopers.

It is just a little bit cold outside, but that doesn't stop our troopers from keeping Alaskans safe this holiday season. Make sure to carry extra winter gear with you during these extreme temperatures.

Couple photos taken this week by the Alaska Element team. It’s been chilly out there! Lots of ice fog and frost. Coldest I personally saw was -36F on Sunday. Thankful for good gear to keep us warm!

Iditarod Time!
Yesterday Alaska Element took a couple hours off to attend the 53rd running of the Last Great Race on Earth®
Due to a lack of snow the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race started in Fairbanks this year. This was a special event we didn’t want to miss.
33 teams set off on the longest version of the trail in the races 53 year history.
They will travel apriximatly 1,123 miles!
