Happy belated birthday Spike! For those who havent met Snoopys older brother, let me introduce you to him! Spike lives alone in a cactus, in the middle of the desert near Needles, California. His friends are mostly inanimate saguaro cacti and an occasional tumbleweed. He was introduced in the August 13, 1975 strip. When Spike debuted in the strip it was revealed that his exceptionally low weight was because he had been living with coyotes, and his job was to clean out their den, which apparently causes him to burn off a lot of body fat. His life is very relatable these days (maybeeee not the low body fat part...)but hes always been in quarantine-and seems like a pretty chill ...its gonna be a hot weekend,dont forget to hydrate like Spike! Its impossible to stay home every day. Some of us have gone back to work and some of us have errands to run or plans we cant break. We cant always avoid going out. But we can take responsibility and make good decisions. Please consider buying reusable/washable masks, or making your own at home. This is heartbreaking that these disposable masks and gloves are polluting our mother earth. Lets try to do better. A very wise friend of mine recently told me “I figure wearing a mask is kinda like wearing underwear 😳 gotta keep that s**t fresh and have one for every day of the week” @ North Long Beach, California
